Outcome

Qualifying auditors for independent scientific research.

Contents

Contemporary materials from the aspect of structuralistic principles (structure, types of bond and material properties). Composite materials. Special concrete and mortar: high strength concrete, lightweight expanded clay concretes, perlite concrete, EPS concrete. Fiber reinforced concrete. Polymer modified mortars and concretes. Polymer concrete and mortar – epoxy resins and their applications. Mortars with special purpose (decorative, waterproofing, thermal insulation, sound insulation plasters, mortars for radiation protection, mortars for fire protection). Corrosion and durability of materials (particularly steel and concrete). The degrees of aggressiveness of the environment. Materials and systems for corrosion protection. The application of corrosion protection. Contemporary plastic masses: history, classification, properties and application in the construction industry. Materials based on carbon fiber. Ecological aspects of modern building materials. The principle of sustainable development. The possibility of recycling (especially brick and demolished concrete).
