A group of teachers, students, researchers, engineers and professional associates, members of the Society for Water Management and Technical Hydromechanics at the Hubert-Engels Institute of the Technical University of Dresden, visited the Faculty of Civil Engineering on September 12 and toured the Hydraulic Laboratory at the Institute of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering. The visit took place as part of an international professional excursion that the Society organizes for its members every year. This year, members of the society visited hydrotechnical facilities - Stubo-Rovni and Bajina Bašta dams in Serbia. At the end of their stay, they visited our faculty, where they were welcomed by the vice dean for science, Assist. Prof. Miroslav Marjanović, Prof. Ljubodrag Savić, Head of the Chair of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering and Assoc. Prof. Dejana Đorđević, with whose help and support this excursion was organized. The guests had the opportunity to learn about current research within the Chair and to see installations and physical models that are used in regular courses and for research in the field of fluid mechanics and hydraulics, and hydraulics of hydrotechnical facilities.
