Studies, design projects, and consulting

Prof. Jovanović's practical work includes numerical simulation of open-channel flows, flood management, river channel stability analysis, dam-break hydraulics, etc. He is the author of numerous studies of flow regime of rivers in Serbia (Danube, Sava, Tisza, Tamis, Morava, Nisava, Drina, and other rivers), projects of small river training based on environmental protection and sustainable development, as well as studies of inland navigation infrastructure (hydraulics of ship-locks and navigable canals). He participated in production of the water resources master plan for Serbia and Montenegro, and in studies for the World bank (flood prone areas in Serbia and Montenegro, priority investment plan for inland navigation infrastructure). He has taken part in numerous consulting projects, and design project evaluations. His expertise was required in the project of the Danube river bed rehabilitation after cleaning up the debris of destroyed bridges in the city of Novi Sad.
